Our Thursday Pottery Group has been buzzing with energy over the past couple of months – working on creating a large bird bath. For this project, we divided advanced participants into a buddy group with beginner participants in order to create a sense of support amongst the group.
The project was chunked down into multiple parts over the past few weeks, into planning, creating mosaic tiles, creating the stem, the bowl as well as painting and decorating.
The finished project finally come together a couple of weeks ago, and the group were so excited to see the finished pieces come together.
This project has been one of the largest that our Pottery class has undertaken. At the start, you could see everyone slightly overwhelmed, but as we went through the construction phases, everyone has been given an opportunity to grow and stretch themselves which has been tremendous to see.

We hope you like our bird baths as much as we enjoyed making them!
